The Prairie Dolphins Water Polo Club is a volunteer-run organization that relies on bingo and casino fundraising to keep program fees affordable. These events are essential to covering operating costs such as pool time, coaching and equipment.
Bingo Commitment
Each family is required to complete a set number of bingo credits per season, based on the age group of their athlete(s):
8U - 2 credits
10U - 2 credits
12U - 4 credits
14U - 4 credits
17U - 4 credits
**Families with multiple athletes are capped at a maximum of 8 credits per season.
Each bingo credit is valued at $150. To ensure that we have enough volunteer support during the season, families must provide post-dated bingo commitment cheques at the start of the season - one for each required credit. These cheques are only cashed at the end of the season for any credits not completed. If a family prefers to use e-transfer instead of cheques, this can be arranged as an alternative.
Due to renovations at our usual bingo location (Grey Eagle Casino), all club bingos for the 2026-2027 season will take place at Five Star Bingo (4980 25 St SE, Calgary, AB).

Casino Fundraisers
Every few years, the club is assigned a casino fundraising event, which provides significant financial support. A casino event is not expected for the 2026-2027 season.
Additional Fundraising & Volunteer Opportunities
Families may also be asked, or have the option, to support the club through activities such as:
- Raffle ticket sales
- Bottle drives
- Event planning
- Other club initiatives
- Executive committee roles
